Resilience: To Run The Mile

My feet hit the pavement hard. My breath is heavy. My chest, rising and falling. I can feel the sweat trickling down my back. I lifted my head up to look at the distance.


Miles and miles to go, I thought.


I’m exhausted.


But I can’t stop.


Not now. What awaits me at the end of all this is a place of freedom and rest.
